In view of bearing witness to Christ and cultivating an
active faith community in a changing world, the Administration
and faculty of St. Mary’s School promotes an education,
which is responsive to the spiritual, intellectual, psychological
and physical needs of Students.
Rooted in the teachings of the Church, we maintain a distinctive Catholic
character by emphasizing personal growth, self-discipline and Christian
responsibility to God and humanity. We strive to develop and nurture
each Student’s gift of Faith by making instruction in religion
a top priority. We exist to provide and promote a school climate of mutual
respect, confidence and self-esteem wherein Students can appreciate themselves
and others while acquiring knowledge, skills, virtues and attitudes which
will transfer learning to real and often conflicting issues in daily
life encounters. We recognize and praise any effort made by Students
to bear witness to Christ through exemplary behavior. We provide relevant
and timely topics for developing critical thinking skills especially
those concerning moral issues and conscience formation.
Always aware of new approaches and techniques, we strive to provide high
quality academic instruction and to develop an understanding of ethnic
and cultural backgrounds and traditions. Opportunities for group interaction
and social growth invite Students to reach out in loving concern to all
God’s people to build a Christian community working for justice
and peace.
For blessings on all our efforts we join in common prayer. As Christians,
we are confident of ultimate success, trusting not in ourselves, but
in Jesus Christ, who is the inspiration, the content and the goal of
Christian education.
